I've been an east coast small stream fly fisher for years and want to get back into fly fishing after having moved to the SfFBay area a few years ago. I thought I'd like to try surf casting for Surf perch, around the Santa Cruz, Monterey areas. What's the time of year when these are catchable? thanks!
We've received disturbing information from SCWA that the lead weighted redd markers have been removed from at least one spawning study area at the head of the guide run (aka guide hole). If you have any information on who is doing this please send PM to me. As a reminder, Solano County Water Agency is co...
I was just wondering what you guys thought about rivers that allow bait fishing, but are catch and release only. Why would DFG allow bait fishing if the fisherman can't keep any? The steelhead are gonna swallow the bait and now after having a hook remover down their throat they're gonna be released bac...
I fished the Russian river today from Monte Rio down to Cassinis.? The water was very low and clear.? A few fish were spotted and not one person on that part of the river hooked up. It was a great day of fishing minus the fish.? The River needs more water and some color.
