Fished today hooked and landed a rainbow 24inches long. It was very skinny and did not fight at all I think it already spawned, it reminded me of a spawned out steelhead. Do the fish typically spawn now or is this one just early.

I just checked the flows, and they appear to have jumped from 77 cfs to 590 cfs in a period of an hour. A change like that can put a serious damper on the fishing. If true, why would they change the flows so quickly? The glory hole couldn't be spilling over yet.

The flows appear to have dropped dramatically today based on the chart (if reported flows are accurate - - I know that sometimes these are not accurate). Anyone fish this afternoon? How do drops of this magnitude impact the fishing?
i think the extreme changes in flows are making for poor fishing. any opinions on this ? I fished all day today and only managed 6 fish landed, average length was 12 inches, all came on red san juan worm and a black leech.
Fished today creek was very low, looked like a river at tidewater when the tide was out all the rocks were sticking out with wet moss all over them. I've seen lots of top water action during the summer months right before you get to the island. I've fished it a few times and haven't had so much as a lick.
I would fish it, get nothing, and a bait and chuck guy would throw his in and pull out a trout. How frustrating!
