Got out to the?creek today around 1:30, thinking that not many folks would actually be fishing on Mem. day and was right about that. Started at access 5, noticing that someone had hung a snake (presumably a rattler) from the fence under the tree by the road.? It was quite decomposed, but I don't think pe...

I found lots of fun stuff: big red ball with a garden hose anchored to it, a beach ball, a tennis ball, 2 float mats, an uneaten lunch with a baggie in it that contained a lighter and a cigar, plastic cups, water bottles, plastic ziploc...

For those of you that head to Putah from the East... the Winters PD is really hitting speeders hard on 128 heading East. No New Posts Warning: Ticks, Snakes, Poison Oak (Preview)
They are back!?The ticks tend to be in tall grass, low shrubbery waiting to hop on. The larval ticks are tiny, the nymphs and adults are also small??Check your clothes , waders, skin-especially around the hairline. It takes them several hours to attach, so you have some time to remove them. The threat...

the yellow sally hatch is on like donkey kong. Bono - you ever use a ys nymph pattern?? Those must work at Putah, though I've never tried one. Anyone have any luck today. I went out and didnt see one fish but seen enough bait fisherman to make it a dissapointing day. I only met one other fly fisherman. Water was way too swift and deep to get to any good spots. I had to use two AB weights and it was still not enough to get my flies to the bottom.
