Fishing is picking up, if you don't mind small fish. Reports are that multiple hook ups are the rule, although many of the fish are going airborne on the set.
Rumor has it that Shon is hogging his hole again-another good sign that fishing is getting better.
Flows should be coming up soon-SCWA is mucking out the canal as I write this.
John Reynolds of fly fishers of Davis is organizing the annual November cleanup of the Creek. Following is the information from John:  "Weather permitting, we'll plan on meeting at Fishing Access #1 on Saturday morning, Nov.20, at 9 AM. The club will provide trash bags, SOME eats (tube-steaks, beans, chips, softdrinks . . .etc). I'd like to encourage everyone to chip in on some simple snacks that might compliment the basics."  Although there is less fishing trash (double meaning intended) with the new regulations, there is still a lot of other trash and recyclables to pickup. Here's a great way to give back to the Creek, meet new friends or renew acquaintances, and then go fishing for the new crop. Please send me a brief e-mail if you can participate (putahcreektrout@gmail.com).
Another rumor is that Alastair is soon to to return from Spain with a Caskof Amontillado from Poe Vineyards to share with us.
Finally, early redds have been seen, so its time to watch where you wade
