Found this website today while looking for some new nymphs to tie. It doesn't give you a recipe, but it has great color plates that you can click on to increase the size. Ok so if you see a big mayfly hatch try this fly. It is a pheasant tail cripple. It was sold by Idylwild, but apparently they are not shipping flies at this time. I have plans to do some fishing on the Lower Yuba in the next month and would love to catch fish on Skwala dry flies. I did some research on the net and came up with this pattern. Never having seen an actual Skwala stonefly, I would like some feedback as to whether this pattern might work. tks.

Well, I'm in full production mode for my next trip to Baja in April and have been tying clousers like a maniac. I talked to Bob Alwine at Sweeney's (thanks for the tip Chris) and he told me that tying the eyes a little further back from the eye will make the fly swim erraticly and hence trigger more strikes...
