Hey Cole. We met at the seminar on redds a couple weeks ago and talked a little about rod building. Wanted to see if you could give me some input on what size stripping guides to use on my 8 weight that I'm getting ready to build. And you're right, the fish in the Russian don't have mouths!
Let me get back to you on that. I haven't built enough to have those numbers memorized yet. Can't find my rod building book at the moment. TFO should have that info on their website for what size they recommend. Now are you talking stripper guides or eyelets?? I was telling you how my Echo has the same size eyelets all the way down for shooting line and shaking out. I will let you know later tonight when I find it.
