Thanks Cole! I used this pattern as multipurpose pattern to target the hydropsyche caddis. I start using this pattern as a dry and then at 2/3rds thru the drift pull it under and swing it. It has worked extremely well this past season if you know where to use it.

So far I have received two sets of flies and they look great!! One set from no hackle and one set from Multitasker. Great pts, midges and s and ms. Nic, those caddis emergers will definitely catch some fish. The hydropysche hatches on the Yuba and Putah are my favorite!!
Two more sets have arrived today. One set from the Viking and one set from Matt R. Both are very similar and interesting. They look like krystal flash midges. One set is using krystal flash as the main body and one as a ribbing. Very nice!! Will try to get some photos up soon. Yes Viking have been out to that river and yes it has been very productive this year!! Tight lines and happy trails!
Found one more set in the mail today. XNJB caddis. Those are great. I couldn't tell for sure from the photos, but the CDC wings make the flies!! Great flies.
I put mine in the mail on Sat, you should have them soon. There are 14 chromie's in the container. The extra fly is for you Chris. Thanks for organizing the swap.
Fisheman this swap if to raise funds for PCT. They will probably be out there at the Fly Tying Event. Usually in a fly swap each tyer ties up a set of twelve flies and gets back a set of twelve different flies.
SK 60 Steve is sending some boxes so those that purchase them won't easily lose them in transport. Today I received two more sets. Some nice chromie midges from Emerger. Thanks for the extra fly Cliff! And a very nice set of squirrel tail Emergers from Papa Oak. Some nice emerging wings on those flies. The wing looks like a mix of CDC and hackle, but not quite sure. Cole and SK say their flies are on the way. The only person I have not heard from is JT.
Chris is it to late to donate? I just stumbled across this last night, pretty sorry considering this is my website!! I will be happy to send a putah combo pack which is a mix of things that have traditionally worked for me on the creek. A big thanks to everyone who pitched in. I can have these ready in a couple of days, let me know. thanks
Hi Fisheman, you should consider attending the PCT fly tying + casting demo on Sat 3/16 from 10am-4pm. At the event you can pick up some casting tips from Jordan Romney, tying tips from Dave McCants, and purchase a set of the flies tied in this swap. There will be some great raffle + auctions items as well. $5 donation at the door and kids are free. Hope to see you there!
Mine hit the ground tomorrow Chris. Here I was complaining about the last one taking so long, I was the first to sign up and one of the last to get his flies in. How lame is that??
Yes I received two sets of flies this week. Some very nice wd-40s from Cole and some very nice caddis from Steve. Thanks for sending the flies! Also received a bunch of fly boxes from Steve to put all the flies in! Will try to get some photos up this week
Any one of those beauties would make you a hero on the East Walker. Every once in awhile I'll hit the EW just like I'm fishing Putah, you can feel like a guru out there when you need a little shot of fishing confidence.
I just sent Otter a pm proclaiming myself as greg the loser. No excuses here but I started the fly combo about 3 weeks ago thinking I will have pleanty of time........well then I dropped the ball, got super busy and with my apparent inability to focus on more than 2 things at one time they never got done. As soon as I log off here I will finish my lastfew flies one of those is my famous bonos yellowjacket. If its too late for this round I will give them for the next fund raiser or if you all have a better idea let me know. greg the loser
Hey I received Greg's flies today. All are different, so I think we should make it a single box of Greg's secret flies for the Creek! No doubt they have been field tested!!! You will all have to come to the fly tying event to check these out! Thanks Greg!
