I was just tying up some small FBPT's and remembered somewhere that I had straightened out a #18 Gamakatsu P10 on a big fish a few years ago.  I wonder if I just wasted 1/2 hr tying on P10's or my memory sucks.

First of all, isn't Gamakatsu considered a quality hook?  Secondly, has that ever happened to anyone else with any hook?  I've had 3 hook straightening episodes, all on Putah Creek, all trying to save money with cheaper hooks:  Cabelas brand, Dai-riki and Gamakatsu (I think).
