I'm looking to get a fly reel for my 4 wt rod in the 90 to 130 dollar range. I already own a Pflueger Trion which I think is a great low end reel. I'm looking at the G-Loomis Venture series. Has anybody heard anything on this reel? I'm either gonna get the Loomis or the Pflueger.

Take a look at the Lamson Konic 1.5. It has the same drag system as the $400 Waterworks ULA Force reels, but it doesn't have the superlight titanium/aluminum body and spool. The machining and finish isn't as nice as the higher end Lamson and Waterworks reels. The Konic 1.5 will run you around $120.

I've seen the Venture reel, but I do not have any feedback.

I have the venture 5 and 7.  I on my rods.  I've never used a higher end reel but I think they are awesome for $100.  They are very quiet, which I prefer, and the drag is very easy to adjust with it's large knob.  I noticed you may be going up to the Truckee tomorrow with Brian.  I'm gonna be up there also.  If you haven't bought a reel yet maybe we could meet up and you can check it out.

Looks like I won't be going with Brian tomorrow, as I'm still waiting on some new boots I ordered from Cabelas. They better be here by tomorrow! I'm gonna buy the Venture 3 reel.
