ive had my fair share of trout fishing and i love it! im heading out to the fly fishing show, so if you have any suggestions dont hesitate to post! im looking for a rod reel and reel that i can get at the show tomorrow. if you point me in the right way or give me a name. im looking for something for around $2-300. anything helps!

Seriously, there are more quality mid price pointed reels on the market than in the past. A new reel that caught my eye is the Ross Vexis. It has a scaled down drag system of the Ross Momentum big game reels. The Galvan Rush is a Galvan Torque that isn't as machined out. The Lamson Guru is $200ish reel with the same drag system as Lamson/Waterworks' $400 reels.
