the water is over 10,000cfs, and RISING! Upper Putah is flowing into the lake at 10,500cfs and the glory hole is covered by at least three feet of water. The pictures give you an idea of what it looks like. This in MUCH more water than in 2017. I feel sorry for any critters who couldn’t swim or fly.
Looking at the water level for Lake Berryessa and as of 08:00 this morning it is within six inches of overflowing.With the heavy rains predicted for today it sure looks as if we are going to see the Glory Hole kick in and another big surge coming down the creek.

I know certain guides and anglers have been really successful swinging flies at putah. Not expecting any hand holding since I know many like to keep their putah tricks to themselves but curious if there are any tips or techniques related to swinging/stripping bigger flies at putah.
FYI, I’ve observed early activity with fish showing signs of spawning. Not just staging signs but actively playing chase and paired up. If you see fish doing big swirls or paired up in shallow water, move along to other spots.
