So I go to the Yuba yesterday and of course it's ATV day, with what seems like every offroad fan in Cal North in attendance. Whatever, I'll be up on the island past the bridge. And so I find myself, fishing there when I hear a vehicle, much louder than anything else in the area ripping up the riverbed behi...

Haven't been here in a while and just saw the thread about Yolo County closing the creek. A few weeks ago I tried to go to the creek and found all parking areas chained off and had signs posted the entire area was closed, mention of COVID and too many people on narrow trails. About 2 weeks after that I see a Ro...

Fellow Fly Tyers, I grew up in NC and honeymooned in Brevard, NC. While in Brevard, I went to a brewery and noticed a flyer that advertised a weekly fly tying meet up in that brewery during the winter months. I thought it was a really awesome idea. Would anyone here be interested in meeting up at a brewery...

What the title says. It is a thin rectangular box with various nymphs. I lost it either at 4 or the bridge area. I'll buy you a sixer of whatever beer you like, or, a couple of loaves of my outstanding new French bread ( ask Jamie at Creative Sports if it's any good ). Tight lines, Richard Marnhout

A member of Granite Bay Fly Casters has lost his fish pond vest with flies and associated gear on the Creek 2/24/20. This was a father to son gift, so there's additional value attached. If found, please send me an email and I'll put you in contact with GBFC. Thank you
The bite is on. I hit up the far side of the lake this morning in my kayak, off the water and headed home at 2. Roughly 20 fish landed and 15 or so missed grabs. Split shot and plastics in 8-25 feet of water. Most of the fish landed were smallmouth.
I spent some time out at the creek today. I didn’t catch anything but someone else obviously did. I found this one high up on the bank at the bottom of the staircase. It looked quite fresh judging by the color and that rigor mortis hadn't set in. I measured it at just under 18”. This is the second time t...

I lost all my gear in the process of trying to survive the chaos. A wading belt might have been the thing that saved my lif...
