Fished putah behind the campground store. Picked up the bigest trout I have aver had on a fly rod. Big I dont even know what a fish like this weighs. I would have to say over 5lbs easy. The fish was relly showing some color and had smoe serrious girth. Had him on for about 15 min and as I was trying to get a picture af him in the water he made one more big run and came off. I thought he broke off  but it was a straitned out barbless hook that I saw. I picked him up on a home made #22 midge with only red copper wire. pretty good feeling catching one on a fly you tied yourself. I am keeping the straitened out fly as a trophy since it is all I have to show for the fish.
