I fished the creek on Tuesday.  It was a really nice day with crowds at a minimum.  There was a decent hatch of BWOs in the early afternoon.  It was neat to see some of the monster fish actually rise to these tiny insects.  I hooked some really nice fish but none in the net.  I had two fish half way in my net.  One, a 15"er, took off again and threw the hook.  Another, about 22", broke off as tried to horse him in the rest of the way.  I had a few more hookups, one being a huge male that just wouldn't give up.  I guess he was about 22-23".  He eventually broke me off.  Flies of the day were a #20 BWO nymph and a #22 midge imitation.

I also fished the creek on Saturday, 30 Dec.  I had a nice day then, too.  Crowds weren't as bad as I expected.  I hooked six and landed two.  One was 20" spawned-out female.  The other was a 24" male.  The big male fought hard.  I'm surprised I didn't break him off.  He looked really clean with no marks on him and had amazing coloration.  Both of these fish were caught on egg patterns.

Where were you fishing?  Sounds like good days on the creek!

I fished at access #2 and the area near the bridge.  I fished quite a few holes in both areas.
