hoping to make it up to putah tommorrow, weather permitting. and was curious if anyone's been out the last few days and hows the water clarity, since this is my first winter on the creek was actually curious to know if putah gets blown out easily, it dosent look like a creek that would. hopfully the rain will keep people away i like it when theres not many people on the creek.

"Blown out" can mean two different things.  One meaning is that the river flow gets so high that the river is "blown out".  This happens when the water in Lake Berryessa gets above the "glory hole" at the dam.  When this happens the water flows uncontrolled from the lake into the creek.  Last year the creek hit 7000 CFS on three different occasions.  Another meaning of "blown out" is that the water gets really murky (chocolate milk colored).  This can happen when feeders streams flood the creek with muddy water.  Another way is if there is a mud slide somewhere along the creek.  Thus far, the rain hasn't been hard enough to "blow out" the creek in any way.  Usually it takes several days of hard, sustained rain.  I fish the creek almost every week and the water clarity has been normal.  I've had good success fishing, as well.
