If any of you-all are interested,a very good non-profit org by the name of Putah Creek Council does alot of very good things for the lower Putah creek, meaning from Diversion dam, downstream to the delta. They sometimes are involved in projects in the inter dam area meaning the areas that we all typically flyfish, like bio-monitering for the New Zealand Mudsnail which for you budding entomologists is a really neat way to see first hand the different varieties of aquatic invertibrates that we all try so hard to match when fishing. If you're interested in joining the biomontoring group call Dawn Calciano at 530-795-3006 or dawn@putahcreekcouncil.org.
