I love this time of year. My favorite time to fish the creek is when the flows are around 400 cfs. I have been hooking into some really nice fish the past couple of weeks. They haven't planted any fish for a while and the bait fishermen have been pounding away all Spring and Summer, so there aren't many of these little guys left. Yesterday, 08 September, I fished near the bridge, hooking 7 and landing 3. The fish landed were 21", 18", and 12". Of the 4 that got away, 3 were about 18", while the other was about 12". All of the fish took a tan fox poopah or a baetis nymph. These have been the hot flies for me lately. One of the fish that got loose actually straightened my hook. These fish are STRONG!

When talking about the bridge, I'm referring to the bridge by the resort. I try to clarify by mentioning Lake Solano if I'm talking about the lower bridge. I think most other fishermen do the same.
