Fished the upper sac on the way home from Oregon last night (july 4th).
Got on the river at 5:00 and fished til dark. Killed it on all kinds of dry's and a few takes on various droppers (caddis poopah and micro may).
Golden stones, yellow and oranges stimulators, and may fly variants were good choices, and caddis drew some strikes too.
Bugs went off from 8:00 til dark, and fish were going bonkers on the surface. Landed at least 12, and had at least 60 strikes. Water was super clear, and a bit high, but in my favorite spot, the conditions were perfect.
If you can get up during the week, you'll have your favorite spot to yourself. Now is the time to go!
