There is an excellant dry fly bite on the lower Yuba above Hwy 20 right now. Flows are perfect. Gin clear. Small window of opportunity though. The fish only hit between 6:00 -7:30 PM but they are huge. Most in the 25-28" range. The fish are very poor however. It was a pity to see such huge fish that had no weight to them. Most tired very quickly. The golden stones appear to have made their main hatch. The rocks are covered with nymph husks. While there, I only caught one fish on a nymph. Everything else on big rubberleg attractor patterns in tan or yellow.
