the 28th i was fishing a spot just before the 30 mile and hour left hand turn before canyon creek. i caught a 22 inch 3.5 lb native rainbow on the 28th on a gold/red kastmaster.  on the 29th i caught 3 planter/farm fish a little upstream from the "y" or split.  last weekend i was fishing near the rapids by the big rock in the water and snagged a 20 inch 3 lb i think it was a brook trout, it was a brown/ black with very defined blue and green spots.  the day after that i was fishing close by the berryessa dam and i caught another big native and the guy next to me caught a very decent sized catfish...it took me by suprise.  i usually fish with luers... usually kastmasters or super dupers.  i know that this is a fly fishing forum and i dont fly fish, but iam going to learn in the winter. i just like to see some participation and interaction about people who fish putah creek.
