got checked for my license today at the creek. First time I’ve ever been asked to see it and first time seeing a warden at the creek

nice to know they are out there checking and upholding the regulations

he mentioned being on the look out for poachers and those that don’t know the special regulations of the creek

Yeah I’ve fished and guided the creek for over 30 years and have never been asked. I know the warden and he’s going to be stepping up the visits. 👍👍👍

On Putah I was checked by the same warden at the same spot two days in a row. The second time he asked for my license he stated "I'm hoping you forgot it". This was back in the early 80's. I don't remember the name but he had an unfavorable reputation that eventually got him transferred down state.

That being said. I've since been checked by a warden another half dozen times or so and each was very professional and pleasant to deal with

Just met a new warden, Henry Twomey, 10/22. Really nice guy! Checked my license and hooks. He switched to Yolo October 1. He says there are 250 wardens for all of California… We will need to be their eyes and ears!
