Our webmaster Keith died on October 1, 2020 after a long illness. Keith was a friend to Greg and many of the original members of this forum as well as the founders of Putah Creek Trout. He built and has since maintained this website for more than 13 years-always willing to consider changes or additions to improve content-while keeping it running with almost no downtime.
Keith was an avid fly fisherman and traveled to many of our Western states in the pursuit of giant Brown Trout. He was also a frequent visitor to Putah during the early years of the Forum before it became widely known as a Trophy water. We all owe him a lot of gratitude for providing a platform to educate so many of us on techniques, equipment, and conservation practices.
The long-term future of this forum is being evaluated by Greg. A transfer to a new webmaster is a paramount need and not easy to accomplish. For the time being the forum is being kept online and running. Any suggestions from forum members for a new webmaster are greatly appreciated.
Keith: your generosity, humor, and dedication to the Creek will be sorely missed.
Kieth was the reason I began this website. We met years ago and he was a client of mine, he asked if I had a website dedicated to the creek and at the time I did not. He offered his expertise and I accepted As I’m about as computer illiterate as a 3 year old. For the most part Keith set up and ran this site for little or no money. The vision quickly turned into a catalyst for information important to Putah Creek instead of an advertising tool for my guiding business . It has brought together a great group of people that care a lot about the health and well being of our creek. Keith was probably the kindest most humble person I’ve ever met. Everytime we spoke I was reminded of the person that I should strive more to be. Now that he no longer will be here to help us , I am searching for a way to keep this website going but really have no idea how to do it. I’m in search of someone preferably with a passion for Flyfishing and conservation to take over where he left off. Also I will obviously be more that happy to pay for the services. If anyone out there can lead me in the right direction please let me know.
