I do a lot of backpacking in the eastern sierras in the summertime, and would like to find a pair of lightweight boots or booties. some high country lakes require wading to get your fly past the shelf and its always a drag having to haul in my chest waders and heavy boots when space and weight are limited. Ive been looking at redington palix pant waders but not sure about boots. The ultralight boots that have come out the last few years from simms and orvis are still like 2.6-3 lbs, not that much lighter and just as bulky as my normal wading boots,so i gues what im looking for is more of a bootie to slip on over my stockingfoot wader booties. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know, doesnt have to be super durable as i wouldnt be hiking in them, just slipping them on when i get to destination.
How about an oversize pair of neoprene booties. I use them over my Kokotat dry suit booties while kayak fishing. This would include hauling the kayak in and out of the launch site. They are light, tough and would pack well on a hike.

Thanks drdan, i ended up deciding on an oversized pair of croc swift waters. Theyre a little under a pound for the pair and should be able to just clip on my pack.
