Well, I made it down there yesterday. I went with a  pal, and I can honestly say that if you are over 50, that's a GOOD IDEA. The trail down is steep, and once you get to the water, it is deep RIGHT NOW. And I never thought that I would want  (or need ) felt soled boots, but with the scrambling over slick assed granite still fresh in my mind I am seriously reconsidering that one. The rocks are smooth and slick everywhere and again, the water is not shallow pretty much anywhere. Now as to the fishing, they were rising everywhere. And eating micro somethings, so anything over a size 20 was too big. In fact, a size 20 was too big. But I persevered with a few emerger nymphs and stuck a few fish.      For the walk out, I decided to stay low and bushwhack my way back and man, I regretted my decision as soon as I was far enough down to not want to retrace my steps. A sort of trail meandered here and there with enough dead ends to really make it annoying. If you can do it, I recommend going back up the steep way. It's not TOO bad and if you go slow, you'll be ok. Leave a beer at the car, you will need it..
