There's a lot more water! Fished pretty hard today - landed one decent fish, one baby par, and lost 1 small guy - so generally unsuccessful. But, it was awesome to be back on the water! I've been too busy to fish lately and it sure is nice to get back out. Hope some of you had more success than me today!
I haven't been on the water since May. I intended to come earlier, but the summer got away from me plus I had about 3 weeks at Yosemite. Thinking I'll be on the creek in the next few weeks for a half day on a weekend.
I've been going about once per week, wet wading early morning till about noon or so. I usually encounter one or two fishermen. I do enjoy the time on the water and wet wading give me the sensation of added freedom.
It's been slow but I usually manage to hook one or two aggressive fish. The constant raising and lowering of flow seems to throw a wet blanket on feeding fish. At least that's been my experience.
