im looking to do a day trip down to the eastern sierras on Tuesday 6/26. I would probably would want to leave early since it will take a few hours to get down there (3-4am). I am still new to fly fishing so you wouldn’t have to worry about me outfishing you. I’ve never fished this area or navigated it but I’m sure it couldn’t be too difficult. My main goal is to catch a brook trout and/or a golden trout.
I fished Kirman once back in the mid 80s. We carried our float tubes on mt bikes to get in there. It was a frustrating trip with no fish and no grabs but we dozens of really nice sized fish that just weren't interested.
