I went to take a look today and the water from four on down was as muddy as the Mississipi below Memphis. And the flow was something like 40 CDs. this is fish killing mud if it doesn't clear up soon

Happens every year after a good storm. Doesn't kill fish. If anything it gives them a break.

The most unusual day I ever had on Putah was about a week or two after a brutal storm. It rained so hard that carp/bass died getting blow out through the glory hole at the lake. While fishing and not having much luck, I looked up in the trees and there were dead carp high in the branches. Maggots were falling out into Putah. I put on a small nymph with a white cream body and caught fish after fish for the rest of the day.

That's a great story Ed, one to tell to the grandkids!!! Nothing like looking for a " maggot hatch"!
