cache creek trip

Hi. I am the new guy on the board. I have been looking at it for a while and thought I should join. I am dying to hook some trout and get away for a while. Would any one be interested in fishing cache creek on friday and saturday? I live in Santa Cruz so car pool could be an option if you live on the way.

Hey Rob,

I have been wanting to try out Cache myself after reading some of Shark Divers posts, but someone mentioned in an earlier post that Cache Creek is closed now.  I checked the reg book and it is only open during the normal trout season, April 29 - Nov 15.  If you are in need of a fix, a buddy and I went to Berryessa on Saturday and hooked several trout and landed a couple of nice ones on woolly buggers.  We launched his boat at the first launch just up from Putah and found trout jumping out of the water just past the last of the moored houseboats.

Thanks Phil I was under the impresions that cachee creek was open. I am Dying to get out on the water and cach something other than surf perch. I am also with out a boat so I cant get out in alot of places. I think I might try Henery Coe as soon as the weather opens up. I hear the panfish and bass can be good. When the season opens up I would love to go check out cachee creek. Good luck!

Rob
