Went fishing a couple of days ago hoping to catch a few out of spot 4 and 5 but not a single fish hit my nymphs after 6 hrs of constant dredging. Water was not muddy, only a slight tint, but flow was pretty low. Are the fish hiding for some reason? Anyway, will follow suggestions from this forum and try again in a couple of weeks.

The water levels have been super erratic. Sometimes they get stubborn from the different flows in a short period of time. Try it again when there's more of a consistent flow. Were you on the back side of the island?

Yes, backside of the island at the series of riffles and spot 4 just downstream of the big riffle. I have noticed, and this is just my first year of fishing Putah, that low flow usually yields fewer fish.

Well low flow usually has fish spawning. I think the fish are skiddish when it's 60-80 CFS anyways. Less places to feel safe when it's that low.
