The bass bite should actually begin to start slowing down. The weather we are having will give the bass lock jaw for a few days. If your content with a few fish for a lot of effort then by all means, it beats a day working right. It is supposed to heat up into the 90's + real quick, so don't expect the bite to be off too long. Fish are going to start going deep fairly soon. Then it's a twilight game.
I've been bouncing around the idea of a float tubing in the middle of the night this summer, tossing top water stuff, poppers etc Years ago I did it from the bank and did ok. The only qualm I have is leaving my vehicle on the road.
I talked at length with a pro-am bass guy a few years ago. He claimed to have much better success at Berryessa in the Fall (late October/early November) than in the Spring. I never seem to get up there for bass that time of the year.

It wasn't a lot of work at all we were straight up slaying them I've been gaining a lot of all around knowledge n it was more morning time but it was just a great time when you hook up over 20 times in a day that's a great day to me
