Hush you...........your disturbing the serenity

I drive across Putah at I-80 every day......it does look a little cleaner down that way and a LOT lower.

I went out to the creek for about 90 minutes on Thursday morning.  On the plus side, there was only one other fisherman on the entire creek and it was a beautiful sunny day.  On the downside, the water was still high and off color and while I almost tried to cross the creek at access 5, self preservation got the better of me.

I got no strikes on nymphs or streamers at the bridge or at #5.  I think I'll wait until the flows moderate a bit more, and maybe go with my buddy in his drift boat on the American this weekend.

haha drift..

I was curious if you were going to pick up on the microtus or not

Hate to say it but I really don't spend that much time fishing any more. I'm turning into more and more of a Jeep junkie. Just finished a few more upgrades to my Jeep a couple of weeks ago...now more bigger and no worries about breakie breakie

I tried to get the club (I'm the current president and lousy webmaster of the Vacaville Cliffhangers) to do a fishing/wheeling trip to the Gold Lakes area last Summer but it just didnt work out. I'll give it another go this year but also plan one to the BlueLakes/Deer Valley trai South of Tahoe. We will be setting up camp along the Carson so it's going to be a dual purpose trip.

I did take my boy (8) up to Putah this season when the flows first went down. He got bored after 10 minutes or so and we spent the rest of our time up there looking at bugs n stuff. There was somebody already fishing the spot I wanted to take him but then again thats Putah for you. If your willing to wade and explore there are fish to be had but not with a little guy thats only 54 inches tall.

btw my camera battery is dead or I would go out and take a picture of the hook used to catch civics..even has a little red trailer attached but it's still not "pegging beads"Vacaville Cliffhangers

Vacaville Cliffhangers, that's pretty cool!  Thanks for the link.  This summer I traveled throughout the Sierras, so on my list was to pick up a Jeep and work on it this winter.  I want to do some semi-serious 4-wheeling next year.  Well, since Putah is blown I've been working on my 92 Wrangler steadily to get it ready for this spring.  Almost there...
