I walked this stream about a month ago and watched a kid catch a salmon 20 to 25 lbs. Its to bad the stream looked like abolsute sh*t. He released it immediately upon landing it. Its unfortunate that young anglers only have poorly keeped creeks like this to fish in . Maybe one day the State will address these issues that line the back of strip malls.
i have fished walnut creek many times, and yes there are large numbers of salmon that move in the fall, and a few steelhead in the winter. this is a catch and release fisherie and dfg loves to hang out there. most fish are snagged in there. and yes if someone would clean that place up it could be a bakyard jewel for many people.
