There was a giant Trico hatch on the Walker over the weekend!!  I only fish it a few times a year, so I don't if it happens all the time, but the clouds of Tricos were massive.  Of course I looked in the fly box and had no small black dry flies....  So I tied on a size 14 pheasant tail cripple???  The fish liked it, so I can't complain.  I had some midge emergers that worked as well.  The tricos were about size 22-24.  There were also some giant orange brown midges hatching in the morning I am guessing they are coming in from the lake..  Trico hatch was from about 8-10 am.
