Bass fishing up in Mendocino.

One of my clients is a winery called Navarro Vineyards.  A couple of weeks ago I took my float tube out on their pond and fished a white gurgler and got some nice topwater action in the last 2 hrs of light.  The gurgler is easy to tie and works great on both fresh and salt water fish.  I think it is more effective than a popper

I'm the software consultant for them.  I like their wines a lot too!

If you bring your fly rod and tell me when you are going to be there, I can clear it with the vineyard manager so you can chuck some bugs at these bass from the bank.  At this stage, they will still hit, but the weeds have covered a lot of territory so you will have to throw only weedless flies out there.

In any case, have a nice trip.
