I was fortunate enough to get two days of fishing in while in Idaho for my daughter's wedding a couple weeks ago. For those of you that haven't had the chance to fish either the Big Wood or Silver Creek, I highly recommend them both. Silver Creek has some monster browns and the Big Wood is plentiful with rainbows averaging 16 to 20 inches. Got to fish a section of the Big Wood just below the dam at Magic Reservoir that I hadn't fished before and had the opportunity to try fishing with a Tenkara Rod. The 13"6" Amago model to be specific. It was a great experience and I'm tempted to buy one in the near future. Wanted to get some feedback from anyone who wants to weigh in on this method. I've read where some of you have suggested using a Tenkara on Putah, given the amount of trees and brush on the shorelines. Look forward to getting your feedback.
