I will be co hosting a flats trip to Honduras in January with Matt Heron. Let me know if anyone is interested in joining us.
We are looking at Fly Fishing Guanaja Lodge, Honduras. The dates will be Jan 19-26, Sat-Sat.
The price is $3,500 per double occupancy. This price includes adult beverages which is somewhat unusual.
I know for some of you this is important as well…there is internet!
WHAT’S INCLUDED:
6 days fully guided fishing (two anglers per boat), lodging on private key in the middle of the flats, all meals and drinks, use of rods, reels, and fly-tying table.
WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED:
International flight to Roatan ($500-$800), roundtrip flight from Roatan to Guanaja ($180)–we arrange roundtrip flight to Guanaja for you, gratuities for guides and staff, $40 for a lunch or two out around Guanaja, and money for extra diving if desired.
There are direct flights to Roatan out of Huston for those of us coming from the west coast.
A few highlights about this trip…
1.The lodge is surrounded by flats meaning if you wish to fish ALL day you can!
2.The moon phase will be Half Moon, falling….perfect for permit.
3.As of now we have booked the first week of their winter season, meaning prime time for tarpon.
4.The bones are known for their size, and numbers. They can be challenging to catch as you can imagine, but apparently the numbers of shots per day is astounding.
