I have been to the Merced the last two weekends, the river is betwenn 100-230, awfully low, but the fishing was excellent. Big stonefly nymphs (#12) did the trick and also caught a few on Beetles. Had a kid (9 yrs old, first time fishing) with me throwing a Kastmaster on a spinning rod and he got 4,. the smallest at 10" and on up 14"
Those are some nice bows. I was just in Yosemite over the weekend doing half dome. Didn't get to fish but went swimming. River was super clear and pretty. I did manage to sneak up on what looked like a brown and some smaller bows noodling around in a riffle.
