I am very pleased to see the number of posts to the forum has been increasing lately, with a lot of helpful information and many new participants as well.  I was very new to flyfishing when I discovered the board in September of last year, and the information on fly selection, techniques, and locations were invaluable in shortening my learning curve.  I found myself buying new flies each week based on recommendations of the Putah experts until I now have a good selection of tiny flies for the creek.  I still don't have the success of the long time regulars, but I don't get skunked as often any more and once in a while catch a very nice fish.  I have even met some of the board members on the creek and fished with them.
