It took a cagey old vet, former Cy young winner to bring us up out the funk. Zito was topping out at 85 today. WTF? A 4 hitter at coor's field is damn hard to to. Last shutout there by any memorable pitcher was Roy Oswalt. The G's haven't started a season 0-4 since 1950 or something like that. 2 more and back to 500.
I heard Zito on the radio today and he has changed his throwing action. Hopefully it will all work out! First complete shutout as a Giant and first shutout in like 9years. The Giants are scoring runs and looking great!
I don't know what is more impressive, Zito's complete game shut-out or his 7th inning at-bat where he went 12 pitches deep, then singled over Tulowitzki's head.
