Made it to the island around noon today and started nymphing. Nothing to speak of for about an hour worth of labor. Noticed some risers on the other side of the bank and then saw what they were feeding on. Light cream colored mayflys? Anyways, since I wasn't having any success nymphing I switch to a light colored dry and the action began immediately. Hooked 3 10 to 12" within 15 min. Moved below the island and landed a nice 15" and lost 3 in about half an hour. It was fun to fish on the surface for a change...
