Dont forget folks, Steve Karr already mentioned it but this upcoming weekend is the putah creek event at Canyon Creek Resort. This will be a great time with lots of things to do ( casting clinics, fly rod demos, wine tasting, food and lots of really cool gifts and prizes). This is all for a good cause, bringing awareness of the conservation efforts for our beloved creek.Unfortunately I will be in sunny San Diego at a rugby tournament so will not be able to attend. Thanks Greg; you need to get those boys grown up so you can get some fishing events in! Canyon Creek Resort has become a supporter of PCT efforts to bring back the wild trout fishery, and we will be working with them on projects in the future. In addition to the fun, it will be an opportunity meet up with other wild trout enthusiasts and perhaps make new converts to the FF sport.

A check with Off the Hook indicates a large sign up is occurring for the event and the list of free raffle items is growing. Everyone that attends will leave with gear and have a chance to win rods, reels, fly lines, accessories, wine, clothing, etc. For free entry, you must RSVP and print tickets at the site below

Approximately 150 visitors turned out for the winetasting event. Around 20 signed up for volunteering with PCT. Lots of great conversation, food, wine and raffle items were shared. Thank you to the staff and owners of the resort and Off the Hook Fly Fishing Service for providing the venue and the experience.
