First of all, thanks to Greg for giving us this site. Yesterday was my first time on Putah Creek and I had a difficult time. Early, I fished below # 3 and didn't see any sign of life, seriously. Moved above # 3 and there were several fish jumping all around a deeper pool but, they wouldn't bite. Tried an ant, beadheads, egg patterns, an Adams, even a woolybugger, nothing! Around 1:00pm, I moved to above # 1 and had the same problem, fish jumping all around but no action. In a last ditch effort I switched to a P.T. Flashback w/ a small weight and an indicator in my last 15 minutes. Unbeleivably, I picked up a 12" native rainbow, beautiful !! Personally, I was hoping after 7 hours of work to release more than one, any advise and/or suggestions as to location, fly or tactics would be greatly appreciated, I am a relative begginer at this form of fishing. Thanks again -FishAddict
