So santa brought me a new gopro 2 for xmas.  Since this thing doesn't come with video editing software what do you guys use to chop your videos?  Packrat? Richard?

Hahaha.  I brought 2 frickin cameras with me and left 3 memory cards on my desk at home.  Truth be told the wife snaked one out of my camera last night for the hike she took my kid on today and she didn't tell me.no

Cole:
You can have access to a few really good programs if you have a Mac, one of the programs come stock with your computer or basic OS. The other program which is much more robust is called Final Cut Pro and comes with a $400 price tag.
If you ever need help drop me a line.

Thanks Munsie...unfortunately a mac is on the wishlist, not yet a reality.  Running windows on everything right now.  Once I actually have enough footage to edit I may be getting ahold of you.  I have been seeing lots of great homemade fishing vids lately and I am super stoked to get a nice video going.

I got the older non-HD for X-Mas and am sure it will do me just right, and m looking forward to trying it out, when I get out on the water again sometime this decade. ( I have the Mac already so I am OK on that front.)

On another note not one of you guys may ever complain about fishing access again. Back in SA there are only about 3 fishable stream in the entire Province where I am at and access is highly regulated. I am a let go fishing today kind of guy and palnning far enough ahead to get onto one of these waters when I amavailable is a tough ask. Then the rivers are closed half the year and most of the chunk of the time they are open I am stuck in the cellar/vineyards with harvest!!!...long story short I didn't get out once and my GoPro still sits un-used!!!! (Cole - I might have to start taking video's in the winery or something)

Sorry a lot off thread here... should have put this in Rants & Raves......but just remember how lucky all you SOB's are back the in Sunny CA and catch one for your old Putha pal!!!

Cheer AA

Good to hear from you Alistair.  The Gopro cineform software from the website has been great and easy to use.  Unfortunately I can't post the vids because I would blow up all my spots.biggrin  Get back out here soon and rip some lips.
