A donut and a buck

Two interesting things I saw today on PC:

Richard doing a donut in his truck in the parking lot below the bridge... What a way to make an entrance!  I don't think I could pull that off in my front wheel drive wagon.... smile

A 4/4 buck and his lady friend while wading down at access #5.  I think we were BOTH surprised to see each other!  He sauntered away before I could get a picture of him.

Lots of little fish around access 5....

I can't speak for Richard... Yesterday was not the best day I ever had but it was even further from the worst day. smile.gif

I had the opportunity to spend a whole day on PC.... Very rare for me.  I moved from the bridge to guide's run/ hole (first time I have ever made it across to access on foot), down to access #5 then ended at 2.5 (after it had opened up).

My observation:

Bigger fish are at the top. More numerous (smaller) lower down.

Sparkle caddis pupa emerger was the favorite fly in my experience but a TINY pale midge nymph got attention as well.  Not like I tried a ton of patterns though... Only lost 3 flies. A new record for me - especially in flies lost per hour fished (FLPHF).
