Anybody on the board fish Lake Berryessa much? I have spring break coming up in a couple weeks and I thought I'd give it a try, but I've never fished it before. I just inherited a canoe and want to try it out as well. Is the flyfishing any good on berryessa or would it be better just to go to lake solano?

There is some good trout fishing in berryessa as well as bass. If your going for trout try a woolybugger in the top few feet. If you're going for bass try some big bright streamers. Right now the bass are probably in 10 to 15 feet of water staging on flats, creek channels, and mouths of coves.

Thanks for the tips, I have a bunch of T-14 shooting heads and FT clousers for striper fishing, so that sounds like it would be perfect for the bass. This might be a longshot, but have you ever seen any calibeatis hatches in the summer?
