Did the eye just come off or did it break like half way down the tip section? I don't know if you care, but if it broke down the section you're gonna lose some of the action and sensitivity. Not too much, but you'll be able to tell the difference.
I did the same thing to my Scott STS 10ft 6wt, at the time I just fixed it with another tip, until I stopped using it and sent it to Scott. Pretty easy fix if Ross wont replace it. U can use the current tip if it fits, or make it fit, use some heating glue and you are good to go. If its just the very tip meaning the 1" that the tip is, you will not loose any action of the rod.

SoNovember was not a good month for my gear. After the tip busted on my Ross 3wt, the exact same thing happened to my Redington 5wt. The good news is that I recieved brand new replacement rods from each manufacturer for $30 plus the cost to ship them. I was pretty pumped about that! So if your in the market for rods, these two companies have my endorsement for their awesome customer service.
