When I ran into Black Cloud ( James Haan) at the PCT fundraiser picnic at Davis Family Vineyards back in July, he mentioned that a book was being published about his father. Well, the book has been published and is now out. It can be ordered through Barnes and Noble among others. The tile is "God's Angry Men" and details his father's life growing up, through WWII and afterwards.
One of the pictures in the book is if Black Cloud himself during his tender, younger years. As you can see in the picture, he is dressed in his full Cub Scout regalia. I imagine he even has his Cub and Wolf merit badges with silver and gold stars???? It looks as if he hasn't changed a bit!!!!
Must be fall we are all reading more books it seems. Another one I am going to have to check out. Young James had a merit badge already but what you don't know is that it was for the 1000 square foot wood catacraft he assembled in his parents garage for his journey into the amazon to hunt pea**** bass. I say this as I look up at my fish carving...dude has skills. Thanks for the plug Bob. Here's one for James...
