Hit up the North Yuba while visiting family in Sierra City and man I really love it up there. I go up there pretty often and catch tons of beautiful dinkers on dries, but this time my average fish well much larger than ever, not huge but my best on this river. Nailed the bigger ones on nymphs and lost one that I never saw when it ran down deep and must have hung up my split shot between rocks or something. I wasn't prepared to be battling a fish that strong but it sure was fun. Here's some pics.

Great pics Ty, the N. yuba is such a beautiful river. We have a place over in Nevada City and I am only a short drive from that river. Miles of fishy water all over the place. I have to think a 14" fish in that river is a pretty nice one. Lost a few myself....
CJ, it's probably real nice to be close to those streams, by the time I get there (2 hour drive) I'm usually ready to barf because hwy 49 is so dang winding!
If you ever go through Nevada City stop by Nevada city anglers it's a nice little fly shop on the main strip in town. Those guys are good for a fishing report, they spend a lot of time on those waters.
