Greg do you think that you could post a list of some of your favorite flies for fall and winter on Putah Creek so that I can tie some. If it is not a well known fly a short materials list would help. Also if I was to go up to Putah within the next few weeks whic access would you suggest?
This question gets asked alot "whats the hot fly on Putah".Every day is different today it may be the Zebra midge #18 tomorrow it may be a small copper john.I guess the best advice is to go small 16-20 and mix and match you're flys untill you find the winning combination,example wd-40 green with a red seredipity dropper or a beadhead caddis poopah with a pheasant tail flashback.Hope that helps.
