PCT is partnering with RJFlyTrips for drifting the egg bite on the Lower Sac and Yuba Rivers. The "egg bite" refers to the large and numerous rainbows that line up below the Salmon redds to eat the loose eggs that drift down. 40-50 fishes days are common and they are LARGE fish.
We have reserved the dates of Sept 24-26 on the Yuba and Oct 8-10 on the Lower Sac. with Ryan and associated guides. If you want to share this experience, reservations are due by the end of this week (Friday). The cost is $400 per boat with up to two per boat. For the Lower Sac, MX19 can set you up with motel rooms for those that want to stay overnight.
Unfortunately I am going to be out of the country.... I am pretty sad I won't be making it but I am sure all on the trip will have a blast. Ryan is a great guide and it is an awsome time of year to be on the water. I experienced the "egg bite" for the last time last year ... it was fun.
